BOOM! That was close; you just had a near miss with a jeep loaded with C4 that got detonated. Just a little too late by a special ops soldier just 20 feet from where your standing. If this scenario sounds familiar, you must have played BF 2: Modern Combat on either Xbox one or Xbox 360. With the popularity of the battlefield series we are getting another game full of mayhem, war and exploding jeeps. What more could anyone ask for in a FPS? Masterninja has the preview.
Title: Battlefield: Bad company Publisher: EA games Developer: DICE Rating (ERSB and PEGI) : Pending Availability: TBA 2007 Number of players: 1 Online enabled: yes 24 players The Game This time around there will be a better single player experience. Where you’re not in the army but a mercenary dropped behind enemy lines fighting for your own glory, revenge and of course gold. Why else would you be a gun for hire? If that’s not where the difference stops we are promised a 90% destructible environment. Let’s hope this stays true. So many games have made this promised before. From Volition's Red faction to EA's other franchise Black and even though they we're entertaining they did not deliver the destruction that we all crave. When looking at the trailer on the XBOX Live marketplace it seems that EA could deliver. EA has built Battlefield: Bad Company from the ground up with Digital Illusion's bleeding edge Frostbite game engine. Imagine sitting in a building looking trough a scope at some enemy soldiers planning to pick them off one by one at the right moment then BOOM someone just blew up the wall that was your cover. These and probably hundreds of other scenarios could happen if the destructibility of the environment goes as deep as we all hope. Seems like they are doing good work down there 24 player online gaming with those graphics that’s like a dream and hopefully my dream is coming true somewhere in 2007. Battlefield: Bad Company will feature a deep cinematic single player experience with adventure and a little dark humor.
“The heart of DICE’s multiplayer games is the frenetic, unpredictable nature of the sandbox experience, where anything could happen at any moment, and that’s what we’re bringing to the core of Battlefield: Bad Company’s single-player campaign, said Karl Magnus Troedsson, senior producer at DICE. “In a world that’s 90 percent destructible, the gameplay possibilities are infinite – the battlefield is always changing, forcing players, teammates, and enemies to react accordingly. Gamers will have total freedom to adapt to and tackle challenges in creative Battlefield-style ways.”
